DiningSix was founded in 2010 when six friends from Jutland were given the opportunity to lease a café in Aarhus called Slap Af. A lot has happened since then. In 2014, the group of friends got the opportunity to open their first restaurant when they opened the doors to KöD Aarhus.
This was the start of a journey with a focus on great restaurant experiences. In 2017, when restaurant number four opened, DiningSix was established as an operating company, and today the company is behind several concepts spread across Denmark, Norway and England.
Led by Sandra Marquardsen as CEO, DiningSix today conceives, develops and operates several restaurant concepts either on its own or in partnerships with others. In addition, DiningSix has in recent years invested significantly in the “out-of-house” segment with an independent catering department with associated catering kitchens in both Aarhus and Copenhagen.

1. december, 2009
Slap Af officially opened in December 2009 in the Latin Quarter (Studsgade). The concept started out as three elements: a café, a restaurant and a nightclub, run by six friends from Jutland who later established DiningSix.
15. august 2014
Restaurant KöD opened its very first restaurant in August 2014 at the address Skolegade in Aarhus.
12. juni 2015
The year after KöD Aarhus opened its doors, KöD Copenhagen opens on Admiralgade.
29. april 2016
In 2016, Copenhagen will get its second KöD restaurant, located in Vesterbro.
1. juni 2017
Together with Rekom, DiningSix will open the cocktail bar and nightclub LouLou on Åboulevarden in Aarhus in the summer of 2017.
1. september 2017
Shortly after the opening of LouLou, KöD Aarhus moves in next door on Åboulevarden.
2 september 2017
In addition to restaurant openings, 2017 is also the year that DiningSix Catering is established.
29. september 2017
It wasn't be long the premises on Skolegade would be empty, as DiningSix opens Basso Aarhus at the former KöD premises in 2017.
20. april 2018
The year after the opening of Basso Aarhus, the concept comes to Copenhagen with the opening of Basso Copenhagen on Dronningens Tværgade.
15. juni 2018
In the summer of 2018, DiningSix' third restaurant concept, Klokken, will open in the legendary premises at Mindegade 6 in Aarhus.
31. december, 2018
9 years after opening, Slap Af will be transferred to new owners at the end of 2018.
7. marts 2019
In the spring of 2019, DiningSix will open its first restaurant outside of Danish borders and put Restaurant KöD on the Norwegian map.
28. maj 2020
In spring 2020, DiningSix will open a new concept in the form of Keyser Social.
4. juni 2021
One year after entering the Norwegian market, Basso Social opens its doors in Oslo.
6. august 2021
After its success in the capital, Keyser Social is opening in the heart of Aarhus at Frue Kirkeplads.
21. oktober 2021
In the fall of 2021, Feed Bistro will become part of the DiningSix group.
3. juni 2022
Norway will get another KöD restaurant in 2022 - this time in Stavanger.
30. september 2022
In the fall of 2022, DiningSix will open a new Social Dining concept, Cinco, on Klostertorvet.
3. marts 2023
In 2023, DiningSix will enter England with the opening of KöD London City.
20. april 2023
The third KöD restaurant in Norway will open in spring 2023 in Frogner.
5. maj 2023
2023 will also be the year that Keyser Social enters the Norwegian restaurant scene.
20. oktober 2023
Just over two years after Basso Social opened in Oslo, the doors are being opened to another Basso Social, this time in Bergen.
26. oktober 2023
The newest addition, Vinkassen, will open in the fall of 2023 in Oslo.
22. Marts 2024
The second Cinco restaurant will open in spring 2024 in Copenhagen.
13. august 2024
In the summer of 2024, another KöD restaurant will open in London, this time in Soho.
28. marts 2025
The fourth KöD restaurant in Norway will open in spring 2025 in Bergen.
1. januar, 2026
As of January 1, 2026, Feed Bistro will be sold to Jacob Jørgsholm.
30. april, 2026
Spring 2026 will see the opening of a restaurant concept in Aarhus, ABSURD, located in the old and well-known Jensens Bøfhus premises in Rosenkrantzgade.
